    Yeah, it sure is. Every time I promote music I always tell myself ' why am I torturing / humiliating myself like this '. Most of my BCamp sales come from followers, it's like an email list. I always invite people to follow. I make music for tv, advertising, film. Thank god for my backend royalties.

    Yeah, fair enough. The people who care about buying music+supporting artists, or who even conceptualise why that's important, constitute an increasingly small pool. BC could be better at encouraging mindful, steady grazing over sporadic feeding frenzies.

    I hear ya. It's the same for most if not everyone. It's what it's become, people don't listen or buy anymore. It's no fault of Bandcamp or whatever. The devaluation of music has taken hold. A lot of spirits are broken. BlueSky is the worst for promoting and trying to sell music.
