    Council increased rental license fees at a 90% recovery rate last cycle. We will be able to restore some of these cuts with that (inspections and housing liaison). Progressives find creative solutions in response to terrible decisions.

    well of course! we can't hold landlords accountable, even though less inspectors will only translate to less $$ collected by the city. i saw how 110 grant's rental license fees decreased after getting bumped back up to tier 2

    This is public now so I guess I should post it here: After nearly 12 years, today is my last day at the Star Tribune. It was a good place to work for a long time but it's time for me to move on. I'm taking a little break while I decide what I want to do next. It's pretty clear I have options.
