I am so angry about this. We should all be toggling this off immediately. (Links below.) And #Twitch should be using EVERY METHOD to inform streamers that this is a live feature.
Postu gösterChatters who feel uncomfortable with their chat messages being scraped will become less chatty unless they feel sure that streamer has opted out. And no one can ever actually BE sure; you just have to take their word for it, because there's no built-in identifier. [3/3]
Postu gösterOpted-out streamers may not want to raid their viewers into another stream where they can't confirm that the chats aren't being scraped. If people allow their events to be co-streamed, they have no control over the settings of anyone who's broadcasting their content. [2/3]
Postu göster#Twitch is crippling the very thing that puts them ahead of other streaming platforms: community features. People have brought up issues with Stream Together + Shared chat, but what about raids & co-streaming — or even chatting? [1/3]
Postu göstercome watch as I have been foolishly trusted to be helpful in an epic battle! jumping in to the curse of strahd tonight at 8pm pacific with the always incredible @dmtauzypresents.bsky.social
