I can’t quite place it but I was in Rome again and the blueness of the sky somehow popped more, I’d love to see Cali. Maybe that’s why they called it the Sunshine State or smth but yeah! Would love to know

I'm not a meteorologist, but I think the nearby mountains & valleys have an effect on the atmosphere. When smog was worse in the 70s, the mtns famously trapped the smog over LA. Maybe the landscape shapes/channels whatever moisture is in the air, so it adds a bit of diffusion to the sunlight

Curious about this myself, they say it has the best light. I can for sure say vs Greece Italy had a way different sunny light, too!

I'm imagining they designed it like this and then somebody said "hey it is still 2003 do you know how much that screen would cost" and they just shrunk the CAD model 50%
