Gyeongbokgung Palace is incredible, and I had my guide all to myself! "Small Group" said the listing, and you can't GET smaller! Here's Alex explaining things, and the me in a polo shirt, and lots of photos! Seriously, the Palace rules, not least for its history. Five stars!
Postu gösterThe view from my hotel window has changed! I couldn't get a 4-night reserve but I COULD get a 3-night reserve and then a separate reservation for the last night. Now I'm facing the city side. That's the police station across the street. I feel safe. But I will also close the curtain when I change.
Postu gösterI was not a proper tourist yesterday. Blame jet lag, iron poor tired blood, or that one toenail. Today I am a PROPER tourist. Touring the castle later, but right now I'm at a museum for King Sejong and Admiral Yi Sunshin. There's a replica of the Admiral's famous turtle boats! You rule, Admiral Yi!
Postu gösterNow I'm at Jerry Garcia Amphitheatre to see "Antony and Cleopatra," directed by the fabulous Katja Rivera! With a 6 person cast. I've seen A&C done by a cast of 7, but 6? That's a first!
Postu gösterUnexpected downtime in Hanover! Even German trains don't always make the connection. Happily there is an outdoor cafe that has giant fruit/yogurt parfaits.
