    the other piece that comes out of Josh’s reporting here is you have a lot of Dems whose support for El-Sayed has been pretty tepid who are now probably going to go hard for him in the last couple days just because this is such a complete betrayal you can’t let it stand

    yeaaaaah “Haley Stevens is a traitor” is the message coming from both Dem voters and Dem politicians and even people who shared her skepticism of El-Sayed don’t want to get on that particular train

    “I voted Stevens in the primary and she’s still skeptical and so am I and maybe I sit this one out” is one thing “she is literally voting for Donald Trump’s guy” is quite another and maybe some of those folks get up off the bench now, especially with Obama coming to town for El-Sayed

    the reason I think this might actually be a net benefit to El-Sayed is that his main worry was a lot of Black and Jewish voters who were skeptical of him staying home but these people are partisan Democrats, they aren’t voting Rogers Stevens actually endorsing him reads as a betrayal
