    it'd be useless to me for art or music because I'm too particular. know exactly how to do what I want and don't mind taking 1000 years to do it. the process of slowly crafting a world is so enjoyable and interesting to me that ceding it would defeat the purpose

    btw I don't use LLMs unless you count asking stuff like "which lesser-known nonfiction or history books cover pre-disney central florida tourism?" because it is unfortunately great at that and now I have a shelf full of material to reference

    I would be in favor of an AI slop ban but I think the emphasis should be on 'slop.' it should be used to clean up the overwhelming amount of obvious garbage. a zero-grace ban would cause a wave of disingenuous catty witch hunts against people who may not even have used actual gen AI

    the amount of people truly using LLMs as a tool (local and/or specialized low impact models, limited datasets, etc) is significantly smaller than the people vibe coding start-to-finish but I don't trust you guys to not destroy someone in the former camp over something that was actually no big deal
