There is a long standing debate as to whether Hal Blaine played the drums on this or not. If he did, he'd have been drummer on both this and The Snake by Al Wilson, which in 1972 was doing the business at Northern Soul nights in the UK. It certainly *sounds* like Hal Blaine. -

- This is no shade on Jay Osmond by the way. By all accounts he was (and probably still is, I have no idea) a very good drummer indeed. However there is no shame at all in surrendering your sticks to an absolute master of the calibre of Hal Blaine if it helps the recording session get a result-
