I have long said what we really need in politics, aside from ranked choice voting, is a "none of the above" option. Anyone who gets beaten by "no one" is banned from not just running but taking part in any political event for the entire next cycle as society has told them to STFU.

No one conquered the south on Tues but southerners, overwhelmingly Black, who have been disenfranchised and vote suppressed and organizing for decades. Sherman didn't take Georgia. Stacy Abrams did.
