Postu gösterHeadhunted 12 years ago. Board said to finalise contract with legal. Asked for clause giving me ten years' salary if made redundant. It was so specialised at the time, redundancy was next to impossible, so it was amazingly included. Now AI makes it very possible. Fingers crossed.
Postu gösterToday marks the 60th anniversary of the terrible floods that engulfed Venice (and other parts of Italy). At great length, this barrier scheme was implemented to prevent a recurrence. I wrote about it long ago in New Scientist and then in my book Tide.
