    one of my biggest frustrations with the way that the software industry gatekeeps and stereotypes about human ability has been the kind of sneering idea that only "programmers" know what it means to have problems, think about solutions, and try to solve those problems.

    anti-rage though: - my physics teacher let me sleep in his class because i always did well on tests and he even found me at graduation and told me he was proud of me - i had a science teacher that let my friends and me hang out in her class at lunch and play with legos every day

    -my parents said theyd buy me a wii if i got all As and Bs, and when i did they said "well if you tried just a little bit harder you could have gotten all As. What happened?" -teacher gave me 0/10 on a vocabulary quiz because "the dictionary doesnt capitalize the first letter of the words"
