    Since the Fisk map is circulating again, I want to highlight a very good and probably underappreciated* paper by Aslan and Autin on how soils develop in this setting, through the interaction of pedogenic processes, sedimentation, and hydrology. doi.org/10.1130/0016... *like so many good soils papers
