In all the mess, there is a euphoria to remembering that I was born in & live in a city that has my family's back. My parents were undocumented teenagers when they came to LA from Mexico. My mom had me at 17 in a hospital-turned-parking-lot in the San Fernando Valley. I love you, Los Angeles.

With the Controller embedded in efforts launched by the Mayor and/or City Attorney, you can learn what's working more clearly & more quickly. We made this pitch to Bass. She rejected it.
Postu gösterWhat's in it for the Mayor & City Attorney? The Controller has an immense amount of public legitimacy and popularity (he's set records for the most votes in any LA election twice now). Expensive, ambitious City programs are magnets for criticism. Data, released by the Controller, can silence it.
