    That's a different question and a different conversation than "is it just me or does she appear to be having a genuine mental health crash out live on air with Anderson Cooper" Which, ahem. It's not just you. That's a bad case of brain poison ivy blisters.

    I think it's probably fair to be curious whether mental illness and in particular certain personality disorders maybe played a role in Stevens' initial decision to deliberately wallow in brain poison ivy. HOWEVER

    Saying she's mentally ill *now* doesn't absolve her of anything, because mental illness can come and go and even emerge only under specific circumstances with specific triggers. Most people never have the experience of blistering mass public disapprobation. So they never get those brain blisters.

    That doesn't mean she was mentally ill BEFORE this moment. Before this moment, her brain hadn't been deliberately slathered in brain poison ivy juice. There's no reason to think it would have been under the weather then.

    Like, OF COURSE she'd mentally ill in this moment. She rubbed her brain all over with brain poison ivy. It would almost be weirder if she WASN'T having a mental health episode right now.
