    I'm not a purist about natural fibers and think synthetics can play a role in a thoughtful wardrobe. But when you add synthetics like this, you do two things. First, you can make it harder to repair the garment down the road. Second, you change how it ages.

    Quince doesn't seem good to me. Their "design by committee" approach leads to bad designs. Their marketing is dishonest (e.g., "made in the same factory as"). And they offer false luxury (e.g., $60 cashmere knits prone to stretching and pilling). Will give an example. 🧵

    Nice styling from Anderson & Sheppard's Haberdashery. 20 yrs ago, A&S had a line on the bottom of their homepage, explaining they're a bespoke tailor, not ready-to-wear. With rising Mayfair rents, many tailoring shops have moved into ready-made. IMO, A&S has been among the more successful at this.
