Anyway, here is Opus 5.5 building a full 3D scene of DNA replication. This is all made with Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pillow), and has a custom renderer with lights, shadows and camera motions.

Postu gösterCounter-point: To the extent that discoveries rely on pricey compute (many will), there will be even more stratification. Well-funded labs will be able to use the tech in ways that are simply inaccessible to others. AI is homogenizing, but that doesn't mean it is equalizing.
Postu gösterone of my students is applying for a prestigous fellowship and while i am 100 % supportive, the mentor portion is VERY high maintenance and 'grabby', requiring so so so many MANY fields to be filled with information that cant possibly be relevant....
Postu gösterOne of the many things I love about El-Sayed is that he's willing to engage with someone hostile if it gets them to admit the premises behind that hostility, to the extent that it becomes impossible to avoid the underlying bigotry. You want to go there, fine, but he's gonna make you own it.
