I went to an Angie and Bernie event and things sure felt good at the time. But the fact that Ashley Moody and Byron Donalds could still win despite the drubbing Repubs got everywhere else (even TX and SC) is an extremely discouraging sign for FL.

Postu gösterYou're right. I meant to say it doesn't matter for the calculus of who has the majority. As for the significance, it certainly would have mattered. As a Floridian, I fought for Angie Nixon and it says a lot about the state that they preferred the odious Moody. Oh, Florida.
Postu gösterIt matters a lot. ONLY 8 African Americans have served in the US Senate & 2 from Mississippi served in Reconstruction and 0 since. The DNC hugely erred in not funding Angie Nixon and Colum! A fraction of Osoff’s funding could have easily added both of them & increased # Black US senators EVER 25%!
