    The World Bank Group is merging its three independent accountability mechanisms (IAMs) into one new office. For this new IAM to be effective & deliver remedy, it must have a strong policy foundation. That means starting with the strongest policies of the existing IAMs.

    . The WBG Board has committed to non-regression as it develops the new framework. Over the next five days we will highlight key building blocks for a strong accountability mechanism and why it matters for the communities that will use it. First up: the IAM must have a remedy mandate.
