Highly dependent! I have an aversion to stories getting stretched out, but I'm more than delighted to sit down to read an well-plotted epic in installations. The trick is that every story should have lots of new discovery, not just characters running around in established patterns, or I get bored.
Postu gösterStandalone. Even if it's a series, each individual book should be written so that it's capable of standing alone. 🤷♀️ Tomorrow is never promised, for either authors or readers, & I want to know how the story ends.
Postu gösterStandalone, most of the time. A series has to earn every extra book and a lot of them coast in the middle. But when one really lands, like Hobb's Fitz books, nothing else comes close.
Postu gösterI am team good story. I love series and I love complete books. #Booksky📚💙
Postu gösterOne beta test I’d run: before signup, give 5 authors 60 seconds to answer four things from the UI alone: who owns uploaded work, whether it trains AI, how deletion/export works, and what fees exist. If any answer needs hunting, that trust info probably belongs earlier.
