    That is exactly it! McQueen walked away when he and Newman couldn’t agree on top billing. After his departure, Marlon Brando and Warren Beatty were among the major names considered, but director George Roy Hill pushed for the much less established Robert Redford...and the rest is history!

    Highly unlikely, although the word had been around for centuries the first recorded use of 'pratt' as an insult was in 1960s British slang, long after Lugosi's death. And any casting decisions were down to the studios, not actors...

    Jack Lemmon turned down the Sundance Kid role because he disliked riding horses. He wasn't keen on spending extended periods riding horses on set after past experiences on westerns. He felt that elements of the Sundance Kid's character were too similar to roles he had played in the past.

    Yes, the fact that there were some Black People and Native Americans who kept slaves should be mentioned, along with the statistics informing how rare that was. It should also be noted that during the Jim Crow era, if not before, these POC were denied the same rights as white people.
