too lazy to list all my assumptions rn, lol. suffice it to say, employer costs are unsustainable, many systems are buckling, demographics (chiefly, age) are doing their thing, and the long term care crisis is just getting started. and so on

i mean, i think the chances it'll happen in the next 2 years are very low (assuming trump/vance is still president). i'm really thinking more like we enact a law in the following 4-10 years. of course, it all depends on what happens between now and then (aka the weird times)
