“The [Tesco] warehouse is the heart of darkness of Leslie’s novel: a dreamlike place of horror that is generally unseen, not despite but because of its centrality to society’s everyday evils.” —Daisy Hildyard
Postu göster“Multinational corporations...vex the [novel] form,” Daisy Hildyard writes. “Taking them seriously...might alter our understanding of what a nation is and how people relate to another in it. It would also be a practical nightmare for the novelist.”
Postu gösterIf you haven't read it yet, I'd highly recommend Paulina Borsook's article ‘Cyberselfish’, written 30 years ago, back in 1996! www.motherjones.com/politics/199...
Postu gösternew book acquired! super excited to read this book by @garethdennis.uk
Postu gösterAlmost finished this one. After reading Nerd Reich, Cyberselfish, Careless People, Merchants of Doubt, and The Reverse Centaur's Guide to Life After AI, I'm more than a little concerned about where we are and what's next.
