look, i think as a US congresswoman you should have your mental health reasonably enough sorted that you are immune to being gaslit into switching parties and betraying all your closest friends and allies. i am not going to be tumblred into feeling bad for her, sorry

I don’t think anyone in government should be so irreplaceable that suggesting they step down after a serious medical incident should be treated as heresy

Also IDK it seems sort of bad to have a system of government where “should a person who has just experienced a brain injury continue in a high stress job where their actions affect millions” is so fraught

I think there is a very complex convo to have about ableism and stigma against mentally ill people in government *and also* recognize that remaining in government after a brain injury is likely bad both for your own healing and for the people you are sworn to serve
