    There's a buzzy new paper about GPT-6 Astra being able to directly interpret model weights (prompts full of floating point numbers) - I tried it with Qwen 3.8 27B on my laptop and found that, after 45+ minutes, that model could achieve the same thing simonwillison.net/2026/Nov/3/q...

    For those not in the know, knowing the temperature of food storage from factory to transport to end destination (store) and storage until sale is actually a vital part of the food supply audit and quality assurance controls.     This has been fucking with me, to put it mildly. One interesting consequence: you can save a shitload of tokens if you can describe your problem as a hylomorphism (for example), as that pulls in so so so much formal structure from the corpus that you'd otherwise need to waste token-spend on
