    A couple replies basically going “Trump is a dickhead are you saying it’s ok to have the same thing just because he’s on our side?” and I guess my response to that is being mad because people said 1000 bigoted things about you is different than being mad because you want to say 1000 bigoted things

    I don’t think he’s mean or anything, but I do think there’s a kind of hyper awareness of being pleasant where you could tell Obama was swallowing his words to the point they did the whole anger translator character, and it does feel significant that he’s just like fuck it this sucks

    Like I don’t think El Sayed is a nice guy. AOC seems nice, Mamdani is basically Ned Flanders, this man represents everyone who has spent two years in a constant state of feeling pissed off, and I don’t think one or the other ways of being is inherently better but it’s good to have representation
