The big boss battles don't take centre stage at all, and when they do, again, the effects don't hit as hard as they did the second time around. In fact, I'd say they dropped a little.

The core of both is the same - these are human stories wrapped inside a monster movie, so don't expect twice the kaiju action just because there's another on the scene.

Just out of Godzilla Minus Zero and....it definitely doesn't hit the same as the first TOHO film does. It feels like a much slower film this time around, even though the running times are similar.
