You may even have noticed that frogs jump higher when they’re about to dive into calm pools. They probably do this to create significant surface turbulence and thus make it harder to see the bottom of the pool clearly. 👇The same frog, with less surface turbulence and viewed from a different angle.

If you’re a frog, you probably already know this, and you prefer diving into spots with more surface turbulence so you can go unnoticed by a non-aquatic predator.
