    I won’t buy a short sale or foreclosure or auction house because that’s buying someone’s misfortune, but the listings come across regardless. And seeing that it’s a design decision causing this much damage is a pattern!

    I should not be seeing 10-15% of foreclosures and short-sales with clear, non-flood related water damage. That tells me that this is a life-derailing flaw. If my forced air dies, it’s fine. It’s annoying, but it won’t destroy our house.

    The more I look at houses for sale, the more certain I am that I never, ever, ever want water-based heating. SO many disasters that make the house unlivable without major remediation, that become disasters that force people out of their houses and into short sales or foreclosures.
