    She's not mentally ill because she's a fascist. Fascist delusions have landed her in a place where her sense of reality and general consensus reality are clashing, very predictably on a VERY public stage. With predictable mental health consequences.

    This is one reason why I think it is profoundly unwise to deny the very apparent mental health crisis that Stevens swam her way into yesterday. She's demonstrating fascist tendencies, fascist tendencies lead to delusional thinking, delusional thinking usually ends in psychological breakdown.

    Not just because they are liars who lie cynically to avoid accountability (though that is part of it) but because on a very profound level a lot of them genuinely believe that absent subterfuge, they are naturally destined for victory & success as an outgrowth of their supposed natural superiority.

    And let's all be very clear that when fascists lose on any front--electorally, economically, militarily--their coping mechanism is ALWAYS to accuse a vulnerable group of sabotage. Failure is always the fault of an imagined traitor group within the nation state.
