Postu gösterit is very strange to me that the llm critics don’t usually discuss this point, and i learned it from learning how harnesses (the app that sits between you and the llm) work this is also why llms get stupider over “conversation” bc context gets sliced & diced, & too large. the llm is bogged down
Postu gösterneedless to say a “being” that pops into existence for the span it takes to “answer” 1 question cannot “be” at all, much less “be” conscious llms are actually quite interesting but they’re absolutely provably, undeniably, unequivocally nothing more than fancy association-calculators
