This movie is a PROFOUND mixed bag But I'll be damned if this scene isn't one of my favorites in any of these flicks No notes, just perfect

THIS SHOT HAS DRIVEN ME MAD FOR 12 YEARS During a big action scene where every shot is, like, landscape and clearly rendered there's this RANDOM ASS BIT where the camera flips and Thor kicks an Ultron like someone is recording it on their phone and it is NEVER DONE AGAIN WHAT HAPPENED HERE

There's a lot of really great little character bits and action in the final act but good god theres SO much of it and also so many unnecessary joke lines

I do really respect and admire the sheer storytelling efficiency of getting both the audience and the Avengers to immediately trust Vision within like 2 minutes of meeting him by having him hand Mjolnir over to Thor That's a move that makes my writer brain go "oh you clever bastard"

Boy howdy they really just had Natasha's role in this movie be: calm down Banner, get traumatized, compare herself to a monster for not being able to have kids, get taken as prisoner by Ultron It hits especially hard given how much she RULED in Winter Soldier right before this
