    Many languages, one notebook: Python (NumPy, SymPy, plots), R with ggplot2 and tidyverse, SWI-Prolog, Bash, JavaScript, Lua, TypR and ClojureScript. Pick a language per cell; runtimes load when first used. Cells share files, so R can read what Python wrote. #rstats #python

    It's a big problem that NHTSA and traffic engineers measure safety by deaths per million miles driven, not deaths per capita. Deaths per VMT misses all the ways to save lives by boosting transit, adding density, and otherwise reducing exposure to driving (which is inherently risky!).
