The Crosemere patch (near Ellesmere) continues to provide pleasant surprises. 44 Wigeon, 67 Lapwing, 2 Snipe and a Green Sandpiper in a field flood, but the highlight was perhaps 3,000 Starlings displaying as they went into roost beside the mere. #ShropshireBirds

Misty walk this morning. It cleared for a short time, meaning lovely skies before it came down again! Birding highlights: Ravens, large flocks of Redwings and Fieldfares, Siskins, Reed Bunting, Cetti's, Kingfishers, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk, calling Tawny Owls, Pink-footed Geese etc!
