    I don’t really think “not a politician” should be a selling point for a candidate. The job is politician. I want to elect someone who understands that job and is good at it and also is not a dirtbag. We have seen how catastrophic it is to make “not a politician” the priority over “not a dirtbag.”

    I think in general a lot of people undervalue expertise and that it's just soooo weird. I wouldn't presume to tell a musician how to work; politics is a whole job requiring specific skills. Could I learn said job? Maybe yes maybe no but it would require *days* of dedication.

    If you just vote for whoever the hottest politician in a primary is you’ll only be wrong a small percentage of the time. But you have to be bisexual for that. So it’s a strategy out of reach of most Americans, who thus end up voting based on whether the candidate killed Ashley or Kaidan on Virmire
