Yeah on first glance there seems to be a contradiction between “25 too young to be trans but old enough to have kids and join the army“ but its all part of the same ideology that people must know their place in society and be reproductive for the state. Its carrot and stick for whats good and bad

I was also involved in these efforts. I dug up an old blog post from 2014: mixosaurus.co.uk/2014/09/l-g-... Reading it now, I'm struck by how little we trusted Stonewall to actually advocate for trans people - sad to say that these fears were justified.
