    On 22 June 1795, HMS Alexander—which had been renamed Alexandre—was recaptured at the Battle of Groix and restored to her original name. She was decommissioned in 1803 and broken up in 1819.

    Thanks to people from South America, I understand a few Spanish words, but I don’t really grasp the finer points. So I looked it up, and whilst it does vary by region, the explanation below seems the most plausible.
