Oh boy, new PixInsight can do FeatureRegistration on lunar frames, and then reassemble mosaics automatically! No more manual alignment, no seams, brightness seem to have calibrated. PixInsight keeps being the best €350 I ever spent on astrophotography.

Good read. The main issue I have right now is simply the speed of change. It's too much, too soon for an industry that is too important. If this all does work out, it will still be there in 5 years. But reckless adoption of it could end it long before that. We need to chill the fuck out.
