This is the core of why you DON'T actually want a platform to move fast and recklessly on big moderation decisions, even against genAI slop. There are social modalities and incentives created by moderation rules that you HAVE to consider.

Postu gösterbtw I don't use LLMs unless you count asking stuff like "which lesser-known nonfiction or history books cover pre-disney central florida tourism?" because it is unfortunately great at that and now I have a shelf full of material to reference
Postu gösterthe amount of people truly using LLMs as a tool (local and/or specialized low impact models, limited datasets, etc) is significantly smaller than the people vibe coding start-to-finish but I don't trust you guys to not destroy someone in the former camp over something that was actually no big deal
Postu gösterI would be in favor of an AI slop ban but I think the emphasis should be on 'slop.' it should be used to clean up the overwhelming amount of obvious garbage. a zero-grace ban would cause a wave of disingenuous catty witch hunts against people who may not even have used actual gen AI
