the best _Starship Troopers_ adaptation is, of course, _Full Metal Jacket_
Postu gösterI should admit right up front that I read the book easily forty times as a kid, for reasons that are partly explainable ("it was right next to my bed at my dad's apartment ") and partly not, but I definitely focused more on the dope power armor and less on the weird-ass politics
Postu gösterI think this is right, but I also think there are two ways to take the book, either it's a bunch of totally off-the-wall Heinlein political musing leavened by an undercooked story about dope power armor or a story about dope power armor slightly undercut by some baffling but irrelevant politics
Postu gösterSorry I'm cranky today. It's just that I'm not allowed, by law, to murder.
Postu gösteroh bless his heart
