Postu gösterAnd their next game, which was announced in 2020, is still in early development? The Witcher 4 was announced in 2022 and has a release year window in 2028, and Black Myth: Wukong was in development for 4 years, as well as its sequel, which is shaping up to be a 2028, 2029 release.
Postu gösterWe can criticise the corporation as much as we want, they are heartless and greedy, but BioWare was not a good studio, at least not what it was before 2018. They would not hear what the fans wanted, and the result was driving most of them away.

The so called Chuds were not talking about gutting the RPG elements from Dragon Age or abandoning the keep. or the appalling dialogue in Veilguard. and just look at how successful BG3 is. That game is way more progressive and yet so successful
Postu gösterNot to defend EA, but how many chances should a studio be given to make one good game? It's a flop after flop for more than a decade, any company would be doing the same thing at that point. and the majority of the fanbase have moved on to better games like BG3, Cyberpunk or KCD
