It's always dicey to predict what will happen in the next election as soon as another ends, but it seems especially so in this moment. We're about to go see two years of leaks, infighting, and investigations at the federal, state and local level. There's a world of scandals we haven't even met yet.

The last time Democrats had something like this margin was in the first two years of the Obama administration (257-178), but that majority was soon crushed by the Tea Party wave in 2010. Political power doesn't last forever. Use it or lose it.

Victoria Broderick just won in TN-4 without @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social ever knowing her name. @abdulelsayed.bsky.social won in Michigan and @schumer.senate.gov did the opposite of help him. The idea that those 2 take credit for this wave defies logic. They are not the "leaders" 🇺🇸 just voted for.

During WWII, businessmen worked for the federal government as "dollar-a-year men" -- they took a nominal annual salary of one dollar -- because they believed in the cause.
