  Modern Nintendo games talk *way* more than older Nintendo games. This feels very much in lockstep with the company's approach to game design in the 2020s across all of their series, imo.

  This game kinda feels like it wasn’t made for kids, but adults who haven’t played a video game in 20 years and will quit if they run into too much friction

  i definitely noticed this in the 2-3 hours i played yesterday for sure, haha. they've built really good visual landmarks and the map is super functional, but i guess this is just how Nintendo designs games now too
