    I can understand Americans getting ahead of themselves with excitement. It was a big night. What I can’t understand is Canadian conservative outlets eager to use the midterm results to tear down Canada’s attempts to diversify and pretend like nothing happened.

    That building needs to be consigned to history. Let's have a new, collegiate, Parliament, in the round, based on proportional representation and put an end to adversarial politics. I'm sick of it, particularly as some of the worst personality types appear to thrive in that sort of environment.

    It's time to move the UK parliament to a more central location - Leeds, say. Then we will very quickly see much better infrastructure in the north of the country.

    It's fucking ridiculous that we're still using such an unsuitable building for Parliament. I suggest a purpose built Parliament somewhere in the centre of UK. I'd include something like a hotel with a suite for each MP, including office space. No expenses for renting something fancier.
