It will be good to see the accessibility issues addressed, but I found Jeremy Deller’s memorial to Peterloo in Manchester City centre very moving - the names of those killed are inscribed in dignified lettering, and when you walk up the steps, you become the monument to democracy yourself…

This paradox does somehow manifest across so much of our current economic landscape. I wish I could have stayed in academia, but I couldn't have done so here.
