    It's been a hot topic this Fall. Comicsbeat just wrote about it. Mainstream cons have been contemptuous of indie creators for years & years. Indie fests are getting pricier, too. I only attend if costs are covered. But I'm a prima donna. If I were starting out? It'd be tough. I have no answers.

    Table prices go up, travel expenses go up, hotels go up, printing goes up, and our prices have to stay the same or people won't buy our work 🙃 Artist Alley is also so gentrified now, it's not enough to show up with a few comics anymore, customers want the big tables with merch. It's a Mess

    Have to be honest here: Comic con tables are getting so expensive that I can see a point where indie creators are priced out of exhibiting. It simply won't be worth the cost / time. It's a worrying trajectory I don't see many discussing. If exhibitors can't afford to exhibit, there's no show 🤷‍♂️
