This is cool, however it needs to be a *healthy* *clone* of that coral. Sadly not a solution to our problems! I'm very weary of these studies that make it sound like we've found a solution to bleaching.

We hadn't spoken in many years, but I would not be where I am in my career without his early influence on my academic trajectory. His scientific impacts were far reaching, particularly in SE Asia marine biodiversity. 🧪🌎🌊
