    i think my bone fides are pretty good and i’ve beat the drum pretty hard that we all need to keep doing the work. that we can’t vote ourselves to liberation, even. but damn, when the sun comes, even for a second, let yourself feel it on your face. internalize what the moment of hope feels like.

    was concerned about this tiny lead but then I discovered that after a close election is over if you want a recount, unlike other states where it auto triggers or candidate can request, Mississippi is special among the 50 states in that the recount process is" now go fuck yourself" and it's hilarious

    I would say that the largest vote margin since Watergate is a mandate for fundamental change in how Congress operates - and checks a runaway executive. Absolutely let's deal with affordability along the way. But surely the largest protests in US history and this massive vote mean something more.

    How extreme was yesterday's wave election? In terms of total votes, the overall count was the second-largest margin ever against the President's party (favoring Democrats by 13.8%). The only larger margin was in 1974, the year of the Watergate scandal and Nixon's resignation.
