Postu gösterIt is impossible to take any of the factional "under-performance" arguments seriously, both because the actual factions are amorphous to the point of nonexistence, with completely subjective bounds, and because it always depends on hypothetical comparisons to nonexistent baseline Generic Candidates.
Postu gösterIMHO, the synthesis is that a blue south is possible but it's only possible through educational polarization shifting whites with college degrees leftwards plus a supercharged black vote guarded by civil rights protections. There is no hidden reserve of communist rednecks.
