It’s always the people who you most expect
Postu gösterspoke to Blunt years ago when i was writing about the Pristina airport incident. Was genuinely struck by the level of moral clarity he had. Dude was very clearly prepared to face a court martial, rather than follow what he felt was an illegal and immoral attack order from an (American) general.
Postu gösterIn Jean Luc Picard, Patrick Stewart was a lot of people’s model of what it might be to be a good man, a TV dad to men I know whose own dads didn’t give them much, or anything. He knew he was doing that because his own dad hadn’t been much of a man.
Postu gösterProduced an interview with Patrick Stewart as a young Newsnight producer back in 2015. Was the only person I can remember asking for a photo with. It was Captain Picard. How could you not? Five cars stud. Nothing wild. And the sky’s the limit. RIP to a great man.
Postu gösterThis one hurts. 💔 Rest well, Patrick. 🖖🏼
