Declining revenues increase the scale of closures we are seeing. Revenue is down b/c property taxes rose slower than values over last 30 yrs If revenue was more stable, scale of closures could be smaller & we could address micro scale enrollment disparities, which is more extreme than macro
Postu gösterWhen people frame the closures as mostly due to falling birthrates, and not revenue dysfunction or migration out of the school district, they are hiding 2/3 legs of the stool in a way that makes the current scale of closures seem inevitable.
